The shelter’s columns are reinforced with steel for additional strength and to allow for easy mounting of shelves. Each shelter is built on strong steel foundation that can be placed on a plywood, gravel or concrete base.

The Affordable Housing shelters are designed to handle up to 20 pounds per square foot of snow load and are wind-tested for winds of up to 115 mph.
